Using Trusted Shops with Klaviyo

The Klaviyo integration is available to you in the eTrusted Control Centre. In order to use the integration, you must first link eTrusted to your Klaviyo account.

The Klaviyo integration then offers you the following options:

Linking eTrusted to your Klaviyo account

To link eTrusted to your Klaviyo account, you need a public API key and a private API key. You can find both in your Klaviyo backend.

  1. Open the "Account" (01_16x16.png) tab within Settings. Then click on "API keys" (02_16x16.png). Copy the public API key to your clipboard (03_16x16.png).

  2. Log into the eTrusted Control Centre in a new browser tab.
  3. Click on Integrations2_16x16.png ("Integrations") (01_16x16.png) in the main navigation. Select the channel (02_16x16.png) you want to link to your Klaviyo account. Then click on "Klaviyo" (03_16x16.png).
  4. Paste the cached public API key in the "Your Klaviyo public key" field (04_16x16.png).

  5. Return to the Klaviyo backend. Click on "Create Private API Key".

  6. Enter a name for the private API key (for example “eTrusted”) in the "Private API Key Name" input field (01_16x16.png). Then mark the "Read Access" selection option in the "Accounts" line (02_16x16.png). Then click on "Create" (03_16x16.png).

  7. Copy the private API key to your clipboard by clicking on the document icon.

  8. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Paste the cached private API key into the "Your Klaviyo public key" field (01_16x16.png). Then click on "Connect" (02_16x16.png).

You have now successfully linked your Klaviyo account to your eTrusted channel.

Including the Trustmark and overall rating in your emails

The Klaviyo integration allows you to include the Trustmark and your overall rating in your emails. This way, your customers immediately know that your company is trustworthy.

  1. Open the "Trustmark and rating" tab (01_16x16.png) within the Klaviyo integration. Then click on "Continue" (02_16x16.png).

  2. Select one of the two options "Trustmark and rating" and "Trusted Stars" (01_16x16.png). Then click on "Next step" (02_16x16.png).
The "Trustmark and rating" option will only be displayed to you if your website has completed the certification.

  1. Click on "Copy to clipboard" in the "Feed Name" area.

  2. Open your Klaviyo backend in a new browser tab. Open the "Other" tab (01_16x16.png) within Settings. Then click on "Web feeds" (02_16x16.png). Then click on "Add web feed" (03_16x16.png).

  3. Paste the cached feed name into the "Feed name" field.

  4. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click on "Copy to clipboard" in the "Feed URL" area.

  5. Return to the Klaviyo backend. Paste the cached feed URL into the "Feed URL" field (01_16x16.png). Then click on "Add web feed" (02_16x16.png).
"Request method" and "Content type" remain unchanged.

  1. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click on "Copy to clipboard" in the "Snippet code" area.

  2. Return to the Klaviyo backend. Open the edit mode of the email template in which you want to include your Trustmark and your overall rating. Add a text element to the template (01_16x16.png). Click on "</>" (02_16x16.png) to open the source code of the text element. Paste the cached snippet code into the input field (03_16x16.png). Click on "Preview & test" (04_16x16.png) and check the layout of the email template.

  3. Return to edit mode and click on "Save".

You have now successfully integrated the Trustmark and your overall rating into your emails.

Including selected review comments in your emails

The Klaviyo integration allows you to include collected review comments in your emails. This way, your customers can immediately see how much other customers trust you and how satisfied they are with your services.

  1. Open the "Reviews" tab within the Klaviyo integration.

  2. Tick the review comments (01_16x16.png) you want to include in your emails. Then click on "Copy snippet code" (02_16x16.png).
If you cannot find the desired review comments in the list, you can either search through your reviews using the search field (04_16x16.png) or use the filter function (03_16x16.png).

  1. Open your Klaviyo backend in a new browser tab. Open the edit mode of the email template in which you want to include the review comments. Add a text element (01_16x16.png) to the template. Click on "</>" (02_16x16.png) to open the source code of the text element. Paste the cached snippet code into the input field (03_16x16.png). Click on "Preview & test" and check the layout of the email template.
  2. Return to edit mode and click on "Save" (04_16x16.png).

This means that the selected review comments are now displayed in your emails.

Sending review invites using Klaviyo

The Klaviyo integration allows you to send your review invites to your customers with Klaviyo. For this purpose, you can include the link to a review questionnaire in any email template at Klaviyo.
To do this, two steps are necessary:

  1. Check the automatic invite dispatch
  2. Set up the automatic invite dispatch with Klaviyo

Checking the automatic invite dispatch with eTrusted

Do you collect reviews automatically with eTrusted? Then we recommend that you deactivate the automatic invite dispatch with eTrusted before sending review invites with Klaviyo. Otherwise, your customers would receive multiple invites.

Follow these steps to deactivate the automatic invite dispatch with eTrusted:

  1. Click on the gear symbol ("Settings") (01_16x16.png) within the eTrusted Control Centre. Then click on "Channel Settings" (02_16x16.png). Select the channel (03_16x16.png) for which you want to deactivate the automatic invite dispatch.
  2. Open the "Optimise review collection" tab (04_16x16.png). Check whether the desired event type is set in the "Optimise review collection for" drop-down menu (05_16x16.png). Open the "Service Reviews" (06_16x16.png) or "Product Reviews" tab (07_16x16.png), depending on the review type for which you want to send your review invites with Klaviyo.

Would you like to send review invites with Klaviyo for both service and product reviews? Then you must perform the following step in both the "Service Reviews" tab and the "Product Reviews" tab.
  1. Deactivate the green switch (01_16x16.png) in the top right corner. Then click on "Save" (02_16x16.png).

You have now successfully deactivated the automatic invite dispatch with eTrusted.

Setting up the automatic invite dispatch using Klaviyo

  1. Open the "Review invites" tab (01_16x16.png) within the Klaviyo integration. Select the review type (02_16x16.png) for which you want to send review invites with Klaviyo.
You can choose between three review types:
 
  • Service reviews
  • Product Reviews
  • Service and product reviews
The review types "Product Reviews" and "Service and product reviews" are only displayed if you have booked product reviews. We explain how to do this in the following article: How do I book and cancel additional products?
  1. Click on "Next step" (03_16x16.png).

  2. Click on "Copy to clipboard" within the area "Destination URL".

  3. Open your Klaviyo backend in a new browser tab. Click on "Flows" in the main navigation. Then create a new flow or edit an existing flow.
  4. Use the "Trigger" block to select a trigger for the automatic invite dispatch.
For example: Do you want the automatic invite dispatch to be linked to the order receipt? Then select "Placed Order".

  1. Select the "Webhook" block in the menu and place it below the "Trigger" block. Enter a name for the webhook in the "Webhook name" input field (01_16x16.png). Paste the cached destination URL into the "Destination URL" input field (02_16x16.png). Finally, click on "Save" (03_16x16.png).

  2. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click on "Copy to clipboard" in the "JSON Body with Payload information" area.

  3. Return to the Klaviyo backend. Paste the cached JSON body into the "JSON body" input field (01_16x16.png). Then click on "Save" (02_16x16.png).

  4. Click on "Review and turn on" (01_16x16.png). In the pop-up that now opens, select "Live" as Action status. Then click on "Turn On" (02_16x16.png).

  5. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click on "Copy to clipboard" within the area "Questionnaire link for your emails".

  6. Return to the Klaviyo backend. Open the edit mode of the email template you want to use as a review invite. The link to the review questionnaire must now be inserted in the template. To do this, you can, e.g., place a button at the desired position (01_16x16.png).
  7. Enter a button text in the "Text" input field (02_16x16.png). Paste the cached link into the "URL" input field (03_16x16.png). Then click on "Save" (04_16x16.png).

You have now successfully integrated the link to your review questionnaire into the desired email template. You can now use this email template as a review invite. Please note that the link to the review questionnaire is only valid for 180 days after being accessed by the webhook.
