How do I set up a free account to claim a company profile?

In the company profile your customers learn about your company and share their experiences with your service. So leave a good impression by completing your profile and getting in touch with your customers.

Are you not yet a member of the Community of Trust? Then there may be an unclaimed profile for your company that you can claim. You can then interact with the people who reviewed your company.

First, use the company search to find out whether your company has an unclaimed company profile: Company search

If there is a profile for your company, claim it and set up a free account.

Setting up the free account differs depending on whether the domain of your email address matches the website domain or not.

Setup with an email address that matches the website domain

1. Open your company profile. Click on „Claim profile“.
   
2. The registration page opens. Enter the company name (), your first name (), your last name (), and your work email address (). Then click on „Create account“ ().

3. Open your mailbox. Open the confirmation email from Trusted Shops. Click on „Confirm and continue“.

4. The „Enter new password“ overview opens in your browser. Enter the desired new password in the „New password“ () and „Confirm new password“ () input fields. Then click on „Save new password“ ().
   
5. The eTrusted Control Centre opens. Please wait a few minutes for our system to process your verification. Then reload the eTrusted Control Centre.

You have now successfully set up your free account and claimed the company profile. You can now use all the free functions.

Setup with a different email address

Two steps are required to set up with an email address whose domain does not match the website domain:

1. Register your email address
2. Verification of your claim to the company profile

Step 1: Register your email address

1. Open your company profile. Click on „Claim profile“.
   
2. The registration page opens. In the „Work email“ input field, click on the „x“ next to your domain name.
   
3. A pop-up window opens. Click on „Continue“.
   
4. Enter the company name (), your first name (), your last name (), and your email address (). Then click on „Create account“ ().
   
5. Open your mailbox. Open the confirmation email from Trusted Shops. Click on „Confirm and continue“.

6. The „Enter new password“ overview opens in your browser. Enter the desired new password in the „New password“ () and „Confirm new password“ () input fields. Then click on „Save new password“ ().
   

The eTrusted Control Centre opens. You have now successfully registered your email address. Now proceed to verify your claim to the company profile.

Step 2: Verification of your claim to the company profile

Your reference to the claimed company profile is unclear since you used an email address whose domain does not match the website domain. Therefore, you must prove that you operate the website reviewed on the profile and are therefore entitled to claim the company profile.

1. The eTrusted Control Centre opens. Click on „Continue“.
   
2. Select your verification method. You can choose from the following methods:
   • Verification with an email address that matches the website domain
   • Verification with an HMTL file upload

3. Select „Verify with a domain email“ (). Then click on „Continue“ ().
   
4. Enter your work email address in the field (). Then click on „Send“ ().

5. Open your mailbox. Open the confirmation email from Trusted Shops. Click on „Verify now“.

The eTrusted Control Centre opens. You have now successfully claimed the company profile. You can now use all the free functions.

Verification with an HTML file upload

3. Select „Verify with HTML file upload“ (). Then click on „Continue“ ().
   
4. Click on „HTML verification file“ to download the HTML file.
   
5. Open the root directory of your website. Then upload the HTML file to the root directory.

6. Return to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click the link () to confirm the upload of the HTML file. Then click on „Verify domain“ ().
   

You have now successfully claimed the company profile. You can now use all the free functions.
