Show Trustbadge, integrate Buyer Protection & collect shop reviews
The unique Trustbadge® technology makes it so simple to collect, manage and display your customer reviews in your shop. You can also easily integrate your trustmark and offer the Buyer Protection.
First log in to your ekmPowershop backend to integrate the Trustbadge into your shop. Then click on the menu item "Settings" in the navigation bar.
Now select the menu item "Checkout" in the menu on the left side.
Next, scroll to the section "Checkout Steps" and click on the graphic "Order Complete". This will highlight the graphic in blue and the "Edit Settings" button will appear. Click on this.
Now a new overview opens. Click on the button "Edit" in the selection "Order Complete Messages".
The following two steps must be carried out for each payment method set up. We will demonstrate how to do this with the payment method "Bank Transfer".
Click on the "Edit Success Message" button next to the payment method.
This opens an editor. In the editor, select the selection "Source" (), which is located in the upper left corner.
At this point you will need your personal Trustbadge code. First you need to obtain your Trustbadge code on this website. Enter your Trusted Shops ID in the "YOUR_TSID" code. The code can then be copied to your clipboard. Switch back to the ekmPowershop backend.
Scroll down the existing source code and insert your personal Trustbadge code below the last line. In addition to the Trustbadge code, the following code must be inserted below the Trustbadge code ():
<div id="trustedShopsCheckout" style="display:none;">
<span id="tsCheckoutOrderNr">[ekm:order_number]</span>
<span id="tsCheckoutBuyerEmail">[ekm:customer_email]</span>
<span id="tsCheckoutOrderAmount">[ekm:totalcost_number_only]</span>
<span id="tsCheckoutOrderCurrency">GBP</span>
<span id="tsCheckoutOrderPaymentType">Other</span>
</div>
If your shop uses a currency other than the British pound, you will need to adjust the code slightly. In the following code line <span id="tsCheckoutOrderCurrency">GBP</span> simply change the currency abbreviation GBP to the abbreviation of the currency used by your shop.
Then click on "Save" ().
Now make these settings for all other payment methods used. Once you have made the configuration for all payment methods, select the menu item "Design" in the navigation bar.
Then click on the "Edit" button under "Theme". Select the menu item "Inject Custom Mode" in the menu that now opens.
Now your personal Trustbadge code needs to be re-entered into the code box "HTML Head Code" (). If there is already code in this box, you should insert the new code below the existing one.
Then click on "Save" ().
Once you have completed these steps, you can now test the function of your Trustbadge. To do this, place a test order in your shop. When the Trustcard (“Buyer Protection Card") appears at the end of your order, you have integrated the Trustbadge into your shop and the Buyer Protection is active.
Optimised sending of review requests (Review Collector)
If you would like to collect many reviews in a short time, we offer you the Review Collector. A tool with which you can send review requests to your existing customers. This is especially interesting for your initial period with Trusted Shops, in which the first reviews may still be a while in coming.
Using the Trusted Shops plugin, you can export the necessary order data from ekmPowershop and then upload it to the Review Collector. To do this, click on the menu item "Features" in the navigation bar.
Look for the "Import / Export System" widget and select it.
If this widget is not yet installed, you can do so now by clicking on the "Install Feature" button.
Now click on the "Export Data" button next to the "Export To File" option.
In the following list "Export Shop Data" different export possibilities are listed. Select "Export Orders" here.
In the next step you can select the period for which the export is to be carried out. Set a time period and then click on the button "Continue To Choose Fields".
Now you can define which data should be output during export. You should select the following items:
- CustomerID
- OrderGateway
- OrderNumber
- BillingEmailAdress
- BillingFirstName
- BillingLastName
Then click on "Continue To Choose Formatting".
You can then define the export formatting. Select "Single Line" () and click "Continue To Choose Download Type" ().
Now you can start the download of the export. To do this, click on the "CSV File" button.
To use this file in the Review Collector, you must first adjust the formatting to meet the requirements of the Review Collector. In this article, we will give you the necessary instructions on how to prepare the CSV file: How to create a CSV file to send manual review invites
Then log in to your eTrusted account and follow the instructions of this guide to send review requests via the Review Collector: How can I manually invite customers for review with the Review Collector?
By using the Review Collector, you confirm that you have received the prior consent of your customers to transfer their data to Trusted Shops for the purpose of sending review requests by e-mail. Further information about this topic can be found here: Consent for review invites
