Configuration

In the following steps, we will show you how to display the Trustbadge® technology and configure it according to your individual needs:

Show the Trustbadge, integrate Buyer Protection & collect shop reviews

With unique Trustbadge technology, you can collect, manage, and display your customer reviews effortlessly in your shop. Additionally, you can easily integrate the Trustmark and offer Buyer Protection.

To display the Trustbadge in your shop, first click on the "Insert" button in the Trusted Shops plugin.

7.png

Then enter your individual Trusted Shops ID into the input field in the "TS-ID" section.

You can find your Trusted Shops ID (starting with X...) in your dashboard found in the My Trusted Shop backend. To do so, first log in to My Trusted Shops here. After logging in, you will be taken directly to the dashboard. In the right-hand column on the dashboard your Trusted Shops registered shops are listed with their respective Trusted Shops IDs.

Set the "Status" switch to "enabled" and select the language of the shop that you want to configure.

8.png

Do you have a multishop and use, for example, multilingual shops? Here we explain how to configure your multishop with Trusted Shops in modified.

In the "Trustbadge" section you can now customise the Trustbadge according to your wishes.

9.png

Under " Variant" (01_16x16.png) you decide whether the Trustbadge should be displayed with or without star ratings. For the option with star ratings, select the "Reviews" option. The option without star ratings appears when you select "Standard". The "Custom" option offers more possibilities, but also requires advanced knowledge of code.

The Trustbadge is displayed in the bottom right corner of the shop by default. You can adjust this positioning individually for both desktop and mobile view. First use the "Position" (02_16x16.png) drop-down menu to decide whether the Trustbadge should be displayed "right", "left" or "centred" in your shop. By entering a number of pixels in the "Position Y-Axis" (03_16x16.png) field, the Trustbadge can also be moved upwards. Click on "Save" to complete the configuration.

Once you have completed these steps, you can test the features of your Trustbadge. To do this, carry out a test order in your shop. If the so-called Trustcard (“Buyer Protection Card") appears at the end of your order, you have successfully integrated the Trustbadge into your shop, Buyer Protection is active and shop reviews are collected.

Display widgets with review comments

To display the collected shop reviews prominently in your shop, you can integrate the widgets offered by Trusted Shops.

To do this, first switch to the Widget Library of the eTrusted Control Centre. Create and configure a widget of your choice using this guide until the "How to integrate the widget into your website" overview appears. Click on the document icon on the bottom code field "Embed widget" to copy the created widget code into your clipboard.

The code you find in the "Initialisation" code field is not needed for widget creation in your plugin. Therefore, do not copy it into your cache.

10.png

Now return to the plugin and open the "Advanced" section. Paste the widget code you copied into the "Review Widget Code edit" input field and enable the "Review Widget Status" switch.

11.png

The widget will now be displayed on the left column of your shop within a new block titled "Trusted Shops".

Collect and display Product Reviews

Within the Trusted Shops plugin, open the "Advanced" section by clicking on the grey area.

13.png

To collect and display not only shop reviews but also product reviews, you have two options. Decide on one of the following two options and only activate that one.

Possibility 1

If you have not collected any modified reviews so far and only want to display the reviews collected with Trusted Shops, use one of our product review widgets.

To do this, first open the Widget Library of the eTrusted Control Centre. Decide on a product review widget there.

Via the plugin you can only add a product review widget to your shop. We recommend the widget "Full Review List".

Create and configure the widget with the help of of these instructions, until the "How to integrate the widget into your website" overview appears. Click on the document icon on the "Embed widget" code field to copy the created widget code into your clipboard.

The code you find in the code fields "Initialisation" and "Widget extensions" is not needed for widget creation in your plugin. Therefore, do not copy it into your cache.

14.png

Now return to the plugin. Paste the widget code you copied into the "Product Review Widget Code edit" (01_16x16.png) input field, within the "Advanced" section and enable the "Product Review Widget Status" switch (02_16x16.png).

15.png

The collected product reviews are displayed on the product detail page of the respective product in the "Reviews" tab.

16.png

Possibility 2

If you have already collected reviews with modified and would like to display them with your Trusted Shops reviews, enable the " Product Review API" switch in the "Advanced" section. Then enter your client ID in the "Product Review API Client" input field (01_16x16.png) and your client secret in the "Product Review API Secret" input field (02_16x16.png).

You don't have a Client ID and Client Secret yet? In this article we explain how you can create both: How do I create API client credentials?

17.png

Then set up a cronjob on the URL (03_16x16.png) displayed in the plugin to automatically retrieve newly received product reviews.

The collected product reviews are displayed on the product detail page of the respective product in the "Reviews" tab.

Configure language shops with multiple Trusted Shops IDs

Do you sell your products in different languages? Then you will be using multiple Trusted Shops IDs. Here you can find out how you can configure your shop individually with multiple Trusted Shops IDs.

The prerequisite for configuring a shop with multiple languages is that you have added additional languages for your modified shop. Once you have set up your language shops, return to the overview within the Trusted Shops plugin and click on "Insert".

19.png

For example, you can always get to the overview page of the plug-in by clicking on "Save" during the configuration. Alternatively, you can also click on the "Partner Modules" menu item from the main navigation section of your modified backend and then on "Trusted Shops".

Enter another Trusted Shops ID in the "TS ID" input field and select the language that matches this shop. Then set the "Status" switch to "enabled". Now configure the language shop - independently to your main shop - according to your individual needs. Repeat this with any other language shops.
