Using Trusted Shops with ePages

A note in advance: We provide separate integration guidelines for ePages and ePages Now. If you are unsure which version you are using, you can easily find out: Log in to your backend. If the main menu is located at the top of the screen, you are using ePages and you are correct in this integration guideline. If your main menu is on the left side, use ePages Now. In this case, please use the integration guidelines, which you can find here.

Installation

As an ePages user, an updated Trusted Shops plugin is available to you from version 6.17 onwards, with which you can use the Trustbadge®and now integrate even more efficiently. If this version is not yet available to you, your hoster will soon provide it to you.

Are you unsure which ePages version you are using? Then please click on the menu item "Help" within the main navigation at the top of the screen. Your version number can be found in the lower left corner of the overview that now opens.

Configuration

Next, we will show you how you can display the Trustbadge® technology and configure it according to your individual requirements.

Show Trustbadge, integrate Buyer Protection & collect shop reviews

The unique Trustbadge® technology makes it so simple to collect, manage and display your customer reviews in your shop. You can also easily integrate your trustmark and offer the Buyer Protection.

To do this, log in to your ePages backend. Click on the menu item "Marketing" in the main navigation at the top of the screen. Select the menu item "Trusted Shops" in the menu tree that now opens.

OpenModuleEN.png

The pre-installed Trusted Shops plugin opens. On the overview page, insert your individual Trusted Shops ID in the input field provided and select the language of your shop. Then click on the "Save" button.

You can find your Trusted Shops ID in your dashboard in the My Trusted Shops backend. To do this, first log in to My Trusted Shops here. After logging in, you will be taken directly to the dashboard. In the right column of the dashboard, your shops which are registered with Trusted Shops are listed, with their respective Trusted Shops ID.

The Trusted Shops ID you have just entered is listed in the overview. Click on the Trusted Shops ID to get to the configuration.

During configuration, you can adjust the display of the Trustbadge according to your wishes.

The configuration of the Trustbadge requires advanced knowledge of code.

For example, you can choose whether the Trustbadge is to be displayed with or without star ratings.

Which variant should be displayed in your shop can be defined via the code line ˈvariantˈ.

If you want to display the Trustbadge without star ratings, replace the existing code line ˈvariantˈ by the following:

ˈvariantˈ: ˈdefaultˈ, /* default, reviews, custom, custom_reviews */

For the Trustbadge variant with star ratings, please use the following code line:

ˈvariantˈ: ˈreviewsˈ, /* default, reviews, custom, custom_reviews */

By default, the Trustbadge is displayed in the lower right corner of the shop. By entering a pixel number in the code line ˈyOffsetˈ you can move the Trustbadge upwards at the right edge of the screen. Click on "Save" to implement the adjustments.

Now test the function of the Trustbadge. For this purpose, please carry out a test order in your shop. If the Trustcard (“Buyer Protection Card") appears at the end of your order, you have successfully integrated the Trustbadge into your shop, the Buyer Protection is active and shop reviews are collected.

After the integration of the Trustbadge, your customers will be able to activate a Buyer Protection and/or choose to be sent a review request directly after checkout. To send your existing customers a review request, you can use the Review Collector. This article explains what you need to do to achieve this.

Configure multi-shops (e.g. several language shops) with different Trusted Shops IDs

Do you have a multi-shop, for example to sell your products in different languages? Then you will be using multiple Trusted Shops IDs. You must store and configure these individually in the Trusted Shops plugin. Therefore return to the overview page of the plugin. Enter another Trusted Shops ID in the input field provided and select the language suitable for this shop. Then click on "Save".

AddAnotherTSIDEN.png

Now click on the new Trusted Shops ID in the list on the plugin overview page and configure the new shop as described above - independent of your main shop - according to your individual needs.
