One question in advance: Do you use the ShopBuilder offered by plentymarkets to set up your online shop? The answer to this question is very important when it comes to the configuration of the Trusted Shops plugin. That’s because the steps you need to take are different depending on whether or not you use ShopBuilder.
On this page you will find the integration guideline you will need if you are NOT using ShopBuilder. If you are using ShopBuilder, please follow these instructions.
Add & install Plugin
First of all, you have to add the Trusted Shops plugin to your plentymarkets backend. Please visit the plentymarkets marketplace. Search for the Trusted Shops plugin by opening the search function using the small magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner and searching for "Trusted Shops". Select the "Trusted Shops Reviews Toolkit" from the search results.
To download the plugin, you will need to click on the blue button “Go to checkout" on the Marketplace overview page for the Trusted Shops plugin. This opens an input field where you can log in to the Marketplace with your plentymarkets access data.
A pop-up window will then appear in which you must confirm the action again. To do this, click on the “Order now" button. Don’t worry about the text on this button, the Trusted Shops plugin is of course free for you.
After confirmation, the Trusted Shops plugin is automatically added to your plentymarkets backend. However, it still needs to be installed. Log into your plentymarkets backend to complete the installation. First select the menu item "Plugins" in the navigation bar at the top. In the drop-down menu that now opens, click on the menu item "Plugin overview" (1). This opens a new overview page. Within this overview, enter "Trusted Shops" in the search field (2) and check the box "Not installed" (3). Then carry out the search.
Now the "Trusted Shops Reviews Toolkit" will be displayed. Start the installation by clicking on the grey button with the downward pointing arrow.
Once the plugin has been successfully installed, you still need to activate it. Click on the small globe next to the "Trusted Shops Reviews Toolkit".
Then the message "Plugin active" will appear. Now the plugin set must be saved and made available. To do this, click on the button with the diskette icon above the plugin list. The subsequent saving process may take a few minutes.
Now you need to activate the containers for the plugin components you want to use later. To do this, click on the menu item "CMS" in the above navigation and select the menu item "Container links" in the drop-down menu that now opens.
We will now list how you can link individual plug-in components with the appropriate containers. You should select from the following list only those components that you want to use. For plug-in components that you do not want to use, you do not need to make a container link.
Container link for activating the Trustbadge®
In the list that opens, search for the container "Trustbadge (TrustedShops)". Open it by clicking on the arrow in front of the name.
After the element has opened, you need to look for the container "Script loader: After scripts loaded". Activate this by checking the box.
Container link for activating the Trustcard in the checkout
Search for the element "Checkout Trustcard (TrustedShops)" in the list. Open it by clicking on the arrow in front of the name.
Within the element, search for the container "Order confirmation: Add content before 'Back to Homepage' link" and activate it by checking the box.
Container link for activating Product Reviews on the product detail page
Search in the list for the element "Product Reviews on the product detail page (TrustedShops)". Open it by clicking on the arrow in front of the name.
Within the element, search for the container "Single item: Container for items lists" and activate it by checking the box.
Container link to activate the Product Review stars on the product detail page
Search in the list for the element "Product Review stars on the product detail page (TrustedShops)”. Open it by clicking on the arrow in front of the name.
Within the element, search for the container "Single item: After price" and activate it by checking the box.
Container link for activating the Shop Review Sticker
Search in the list for the element "Review Sticker (Shop Reviews) (TrustedShops)". Open it by clicking on the arrow in front of the name.
Within the element, search for the container "Footer: Row 3 container" and activate it by checking the box.
Now you have prepared the display of the Shop Review Sticker in the footer. If you are using Ceres 4, you have the option of positioning the Shop Review Sticker in the sidebar as well as displaying it in the footer. If you prefer this positioning, search within the already open element "Review Sticker (Shop Reviews) (TrustedShops)" for the container "Category item list: Container below side navigation" and activate it by checking the box.
Finally, the container links you have made must now be saved. To do this, click on the button with the diskette symbol in the upper left corner.
Then the success message "Container linked" will appear. Now the plugin is completely installed and you can start the configuration.
Next, we will show you how you can display the Trustbadge® technology and configure it according to your individual requirements.

Show Trustbadge, integrate Buyer Protection & collect shop reviews
The unique Trustbadge® technology makes it so simple to collect, manage and display your customer reviews in your shop. You can also easily integrate your trustmark and offer the Buyer Protection.
To do this, you will need to open the Trusted Shops Plugin in your plentymarkets backend. First select the menu item "Setup" (1) in the main navigation at the top. This will open another navigation bar on the left side. Now click on the menu item "Client" (2) and then on "Settings" (3). Select the menu item "Trusted Shops" in the menu tree that opens up.
This opens an input field. Now enter your Trusted Shops ID in the input field provided (1).
Use the two drop-down menus to select the shop belonging to the ID and the language of the shop. Next, click on the "Save" button.
In the following view, the Trusted Shops ID that you have just saved will be listed. Click on the "Edit" button to get to the configuration.
Once the configuration page has opened, you can first choose whether you want to use Standard or Expert Mode for your configuration in the drop-down menu "Mode".
Expert mode offers more options, but also requires advanced knowledge of code.
In the section "Configure the Trustbadge for your shop" you can customise the Trustbadge according to your needs.
Under "Trustbadge variants" (1) you can choose whether the Trustbadge is to be displayed with or without star ratings.
By default, the Trustbadge is displayed in the lower right corner of the shop. By entering a pixel number in the "Y-Offset" (2) field, the Trustbadge on the right-hand edge of the screen can be moved upwards. Click on "Save" to implement the adjustments.
Once you have completed these steps, you can now test the function of your Trustbadge. For this purpose, please carry out a test order in your shop. When the Trustcard (“Buyer Protection Card") appears at the end of your order, you have integrated the Trustbadge into your shop and the Buyer Protection is active.
Collect and display Product Reviews
With your plugin you can also integrate Product Reviews into your shop quickly and easily. At the moment, however, it is not yet possible to collect Product Reviews with the reviews platform eTrusted. As a result, you cannot use the plugin's designated functionalities at the moment. We will inform you as soon as Product Reviews are available for the eTrusted reviews platform. You would like to use Product Reviews now? Then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Show Shop Review Sticker with rating comments
To display the collected Shop Reviews prominently in your shop, you can integrate the Shop Review Sticker provided by Trusted Shops in addition to the Trustbadge. To do this, first scroll within the plugin to the "Configure Additional Options" area. Place a check mark next to the option "Show Shop Reviews within your shop". This opens a menu with which you can adapt the Shop Review Sticker to your shop design.
Select your preferred font from the menu (1) and specify how many review comments you want to display in turn (2). Up to five reviews are possible. In addition, determine the minimum rating at which reviews may be displayed - from 1 for "poor" to 5 for "very good" (3). You can also adapt the background colour of the Shop Review Sticker to the design of your shop (4). To do this, either enter the hexadecimal value or select your desired colour by clicking on the colour field. Click on "Save" to complete your adjustments.
Depending on which Ceres version you are using and which container link you have selected, the Shop Review Sticker will be displayed either on all pages in the footer or the sidebar on the category page. More detailed information on this topic can be found here.
Configure multi-shops with multiple Trusted Shops IDs
You have a multi-shop and sell your products for example in different languages? Then you will be using multiple Trusted Shops IDs. Here you will learn how to configure your shop individually with several Trusted Shop IDs.
To be able to configure a multi-shop, you must already have set up a multi-shop in your plentymarkets backend. You can find out more about how to set up a multi-shop in plentymarkets here.
Then switch back to the Trusted Shops plugin. Another Trusted Shops ID can now be stored (1) using the input field. You can select the appropriate shop and define the language of the shop (3) using the drop-down menu next to the Trusted Shops ID (2) you entered. Then click on "Save".
In the following list you can now see the main shop (1) and the newly added shop (2). Click on "Edit" and configure the language shop – independently of your main shop – according to your individual needs. Repeat this with any other language shops.
