How do I test my Trustbadge® integration?

How do I place a test order?

Carry out the test order only after you have integrated the Trustbadge into your shop.

Place a test order

  1. Open your shop.
  2. Add a product to the shopping basket.
  3. Complete the order. The Trustcard will appear after checkout.
  4. Within the Trustcard, consent to the submission of a review or – in the case of an active Trustmark – to protection with Buyer Protection.

You have now successfully placed a test order.

Does the Trustcard not appear in your shop? Then your Trustbadge integration is incomplete or incorrect. The section titled "What should I do if the data is not fully transferred?" outlines what you need to do in this case.

Check the data transfer

If the Trustcard appeared during your test order, this strongly indicates that the data transfer between the Trustbadge in your shop and Trusted Shops works. You can also check the data transfer.

  1. Wait 10 minutes after your test order.
  2. Log in to the eTrusted Control Centre. Click on the "e" icon in the top-right corner.
  3. My Trusted Shops opens. Click on "More" (01_16x16.png) in the main navigation area. Then click on "Trustbadge" (02_16x16.png).

The "My Trustbadge status" overview will appear. If the status indicator is green, the Trustbadge is fully integrated into your shop and all data is being correctly transferred to Trusted Shops.


If the status indicator is red, the Trustbadge integration is not complete and the required data is either not being transferred or is not being entirely transferred to Trusted Shops.


It can take up to 10 minutes for the data from your test order to be transferred to Trusted Shops and for the status indicator to be updated. If your status indicator is red, reload it after a few minutes.

What should I do if the data is not fully transferred?

The data between your shop and Trusted Shops is not being transferred correctly if...

  • ... the Trustcard does not appear after checkout and/or...
  • ... your Trustbadge status is in My Trusted Shops is marked red.
