Which e-mail template should I send to my customers?

eTrusted sends review invites to your customers for you. These review invites consist of an e-mail template that is sent to your customers and a questionnaire template that is used to submit the review.

In the eTrusted Control Centre you can select both the e-mail and the questionnaire template to be sent to your customers.

How do I select the correct e-mail template?

There are currently three e-mail templates available for collecting service reviews:

  • the Optimised email template
  • the Optimised email template (Experience)
  • the Optimised email template (COVID-19)

In addition, there is another e-mail template available which is just for collecting product reviews. More information about this e-mail template can be found here: E-mail template for collecting product reviews

E-mail templates for collecting service reviews

The three e-mail templates for collecting service reviews are geared towards different use cases. Answer the following questions to select the e-mail template that fits your use case.

Is your company involved in online trading?

No.

Then the Optimised e-mail template (Experience) is the right choice for you. As all e-mail templates, it is optimised for the highest click-through rates. However, the Optimised e-mail template (Experience) does not contain an order number and is therefore aimed at all use cases outside of online trading.

Has the Covid-19 pandemic affected your delivery dates?

Yes.

Then the Optimised e-mail template (COVID-19) is the right choice for you. As all e-mail templates, it is optimised for the highest click-through rates. In contrast to the other templates, the Optimised e-mail template (COVID-19) includes a note on the COVID-19 pandemic. This note informs your customers about possible delivery delays due to the pandemic in order to prevent hasty critical reviews.

Then the Optimised e-mail template is the right choice for you. As all e-mail templates, it is optimised for the highest click-through rates and is our standard template for online retailers. It contains a reference to the order number so that your customers can better match the Review Invite to their order. The Optimised e-mail template is selected by default for your automated invitation dispatch, unless you have specified another e-mail template.

E-mail template for collecting product reviews

Would you like to give your customers enough time to test purchased products in their own time before a review is requested? Then you can send a separate Review Invite for your Product Reviews. This will be sent after the service review invite is sent.

There is a separate e-mail template available for the Review Invite to collect Product Reviews. Using this e-mail template, your customers can review either all their purchased products, or just individual items.

The e-mail template will look different depending on how many products are available for review.
