How can I import reviews I have collected from other providers into eTrusted?

Did you collect reviews from other providers before you joined Trusted Shops? Then you can import the collected reviews into the eTrusted review platform subject to certain conditions. An import means you're not starting from scratch at Trusted Shops, but continue to benefit from the reviews you have collected in the past.

What prerequisites do I have to meet to be able to import reviews?

You can import both service and product reviews into eTrusted. To do this, you provide us with the necessary review data in import tables.

Service reviews must have been collected using a certified Google vendor review partner. You can find a list of all certified Google partners here: List of certified Google partners However, reviews you have collected with your Google company profile cannot be imported.

Product reviews must have been collected either through a certified Google partner or through your own shop system.

You must also declare to Trusted Shops in an additional agreement that

... all reviews are based on a specific, verifiable transaction.
... all reviews were written by genuine customers.
... all ratings and comments have been submitted unchanged.
... no reviews have been selected or held back.
... you have the rights of use for the imported reviews and are entitled to grant Trusted Shops corresponding sublicenses.
... you have received the right from your previous provider to transfer the reviews to third-party systems.
... you assume responsibility for compliance with data protection regulations.
... the reviews do not violate any legal regulations and were collected in compliance with competition law criteria.

What do I need to do if I want to import reviews?

Check whether your collected reviews meet the above requirements.
Send an e-mail to members@trustedshops.com and ask for the "Agreement to take over existing evaluations from other evaluation systems".
Print out, read and sign the supplementary agreement. Then scan the signed licence confirmation.

Do you want to import reviews for multiple domains? Then please create your own import tables for each domain.

Check whether the letters specific to your language such as ã, ä, ç, ë, ę, ê, ñ, ö, ß, ü or ż are displayed correctly within your import table.
Send the signed supplementary agreement and the prepared import tables to members@trustedshops.com.

You have now successfully requested the import of your reviews. We will check the documents and contact you if anything is missing. If the documents are complete, it will take about seven working days for the reviews to be imported into our system.

What data do I have to enter in the import table?

You can use the import table to transfer the reviews you want to import to us. The import tables for service and product reviews have different structures. Therefore, always send us separate import tables for service and product reviews.

Import table for service reviews

The import table for service reviews consists of eleven columns. The following four columns are mandatory:

Import table for product reviews

The import table consists of the eleven columns of the import table for service reviews, as well as a further seven columns. In addition to the columns review.locale, review.rating, review.submittedAt and transaction.reference described above, you also need to fill in three additional columns to import product reviews. Therefore, fill in at least these seven columns:

product.sku	Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) of the reviewed product	This column is used to link the reviews to the corresponding products. Therefore, ensure that the values match those in your shop system.

Where do the reviews appear after import?

Imported service reviews appear in the following places:

In the Trustbadge®, the imported reviews are counted in the total number of reviews collected. However, since the imported reviews have not been verified by Trusted Shops, they will not be taken into account when calculating your average rating.
If the imported reviews are not older than 12 months, they are also listed in the review profile. They are marked as "Imported" there.
The widgets display the review comments of imported reviews. However, they have no influence on the displayed average rating.
