Using Trusted Shops with bigCommerce

Show Trustbadge, integrate Buyer Protection & collect shop reviews

The unique Trustbadge® technology makes it so simple to collect, manage and display your customer reviews in your shop. You can also easily integrate your trustmark and offer the Buyer Protection.

  1. Log in to your bigCommerce backend.
  2. Select "Storefront" in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Click on "Script Manager".

  4. The Script Manager will open. Click on "Create a Script".

  5. A new overview will open. Enter the following settings:
    • Script name: „Trusted Shops Trustbadge”
    • Description: optional
    • Placement: Footer
    • Location: Store pages
    • Script category: Essential
    • Script type: Script
  6. As soon as you select "Script" (01_16x16.png) as a script type, the input field "Script Contents" will open. Insert your Trustbadge code in this field (02_16x16.png). Click on "Save" (03_16x16.png).

    First, you need to obtain your Trustbadge code on this website: Configure the Trustbadge code Enter your Trusted Shops ID in the "YOUR_TSID" code. The code can then be copied to your clipboard.
    You can find your Trusted Shops ID in your dashboard in the My Trusted Shops backend. To do this, first log in to My Trusted Shops here: My Trusted Shops After logging in, you will be taken directly to the dashboard. In the right column of the dashboard, your shops which are registered with Trusted Shops are listed, with their respective Trusted Shops ID.

  7. In order to offer your customers Buyer Protection at the end of the order, you must create another script for your order confirmation page. To do this, click "Create a Script" in the Script Manager again and enter the following settings:
    • Script name: „Trusted Shops Trustbadge Order confirmation”
    • Description: optional
    • Placement: Footer
    • Location: Order confirmation
    • Script category: Essential
    • Script type: Script
  8. Insert your Trustbadge code again in the "Script Contents" field. Click on "Save".
  9. Select "Settings" (01_16x16.png) in the left-hand navigation. Scroll down to the "Advanced" section. Click on "Data solutions" (02_16x16.png).

  10. A new overview will open. Scroll down to the "Affiliate Conversion Tracking". Click on "Connect".

  11. A new overview will open. Insert the following code into the input field (01_16x16.png):

    If your shop uses a currency other than the Euro, you will have to adapt the code slightly. Simply replace the currency abbreviation EUR with the abbreviation of the currency used by your shop within the code line.

  12. Click on "Connect" (02_16x16.png).

Once you have completed these steps, you can now test the function of your Trustbadge. To do this, place a test order in your shop. If the Trustcard (“Buyer Protection Card") appears at the end of your order, you have successfully integrated the Trustbadge into your shop, the Buyer Protection is active and shop reviews are collected.
